ABOUT DHARMA SHALA:

CONSCIENTOUS LODGING TO HOST YOUR YOGA RETREATS, MINDFUL WORKSHOPS, AND OTHER INTIMATE GATHERINGS.

Our Mission:  In Nicaragua we've found our home and purpose.  Growing food to feed not just ourselves, but eventually the community around us as well, working to restore the land to its natural state with additional product outputs.  Learning about our water system works and how wee enhance its benefits on the land have become our focus.  In building those relationships we invite others to share in that process and live in this little community setting we've worked to build to create a growing, safe, peaceful space for friends old and new to share in and create.

2014.  We had built a great life, our daughter was happy and healthy, we loved our careers, our communities and our friends.  In Troncones, Mexico on a yoga retreat, my sister called telling me that my father had died.  It seems cliche but in that moment my life changed forever.  Our lives.  A decision was made to live our lives without the constraint of others, without working ourselves to death, without missing sunsets, animal cuddles, ocean swells and fresh air.  To live simply in conjunction with the land and the guidance of yoga.  The move to Nicaragua was born. Create a space for all to experience a clean, devoted and simpler life, to support our newly adopted community.
Here we are. House built, yoga shala, casitas, ranchitos, full campo kitchen, pool, paths,  gardens, friendships, new communities and a few extra cats along the way.  We offer peace, quiet, birds, jungle life, breathtaking views, growing tropical native fruits and heirloom veggies, at 700+ feet above sea level we always have a breeze.  And of course, yoga, meditation and philosophical discussion.  We are Beth and Chris Pedrick, slow down with us to live an authentic life, recognize the beauty in nature, even for a moment.
